Postnatal Yoga
(with baby)
"Having a baby is like cracking open your life and letting the light pour in" (Rachel Cusk, writer)

In perinatal yoga I like to think of spirals of joy, and in this sense the mother is placed at the centre of that spiral. Care of the mother is care of the whole family system.
Shape shifting, expansive and demanding, your journey into motherhood is likely to be the biggest transformation you'll ever face. Each birth is a totally unique experience but all birth calls for new integration of spiritual and physical wellbeing.
Yoga is an ancient system of self help that provides the perfect framework and toolbox to centre yourself as you heal from birth and come home into this new body.
In this class you will learn pranayama (breathwork), meditation techniques and mindfulness practices that can be integrated into daily life as a new mother. You will learn techniques to bring strength and stamina to your nervous system. Gently rebuilding core strength, pelvic floor support and posture after pregnancy, this class will help you build foundations of functional strength for real life.
I integrate song, sensory experience and little flourishes of baby yoga into our yoga practice promoting a positive experience for both you and your child. This is a space for you to come home to yourself, rest, warm and restore the body and spirit.
Classes are £15 and in person in Dulwich
